Brickfilm Review: Lego Space Assault by Superbokje

Today's review is on Lego Space Assault by SuperBokje, a highly underrated brickfilmer in my opinion, with fewer than 100 subscribers on you tube.  This film is his entry into Spugesdu's stop motion contest.

The plot is simple. Some soldiers attack a space base in order to destroy it. It's a tad odd as they end up blowing up the base with them still on it. So it's basically a suicide mission. Still, it's a very enjoyable watch, with some impressive animation and camera work, although it doesn't always look like it's running at 20FPS, but maybe that's just me.

The special effects are nice, with plenty of sound effects to go with them. My one large qualm with this video is that it's sometimes difficult to distinguish who's on which side. All I can see is random people shooting each other a lot of the time. Still, this is a great brickfilm. Let's get to the numbers.

Animation: 8/10
Effects: 8/10
Storyline: 6/10
Overall: 7.2/10 A great brickfilm
