Brickfilm Review: Hero of Cartao by Fireguy789

Eric has outdone himself again. After the intriguing plot in Guns of Dubrillion", where the Republic were the baddies, Hero of Cartao explores the forceful nature of the Republic even further. This time, a senator forces a construction facility on the Republic planet of Cartao to start growing Clones as part of a trial run. However, the Separatists want the facility for themselves...

Since Guns of Dubrillion, Eric's CGI has come on quite a bit. There are some really nice shots of the facility, especially when it is being attacked. The sets are also great, particularly the space port. The lighting in parts of the facility and the Separatist flagship is impressive. Eric claims this film is "one big test". Well, I would say the lighting and CGI has definitely improved, and your stop motion has become EVEN smoother! A very successful test, then! There is also more action in Hero of Cartao. There are more emitters, and the whole action-packed scene sounds even more dramatic with the Inception soundtrack set to it! The voice acting sounds pretty good most of the time. Sometimes the dialogue could probably be a little less repetitive and the diction could be a little less stilted. Overall, though, a great brickfilm!

Plot: 10/10 Masterful!
Animation: 9/10
Cinematography: 9/10
Lighting/ Sound: 8/10
Effects: 8/10
Overall: 8.8/10 Excellent!
