This month alone, TheBrickUpdate has achieved an all-time high: 17,666 views (at the time this article was written) this month of January alone! That is super good due to the fact that we created this site in early October and this is already blossoming into a superpower of a news site (sorta, lol). There are only a few days left of January and we'd really, really like it if we could get 20,000+ views this month so tell your friends, subscribers, and anyone you know! With getting a domain name it takes some time to load, so the site will be offline for a couple days while it is processing. Introducing TheBrickUpdate forum!

We are starting 2011 off with a bang by introducing to you guys the official Brick Update Forum! TheBrickUpdate forum is a place for people to discuss LEGO, give us advice and suggestions for the site and a place for readers of TheBrickUpdate to meet and talk.

This forum is just starting and should grow alot in the next couple of weeks and months! We will have a topic for suggestions on how to improve the forum and make it more enjoyable for our users.

The forum will be run by myself and the 4 main admins of TheBrickUpdate. I invite all readers of TheBrickUpdate to register the forum and join the discussion but please read the rules before you post.

Minifigure of the Day

Hey guys, recently the staff has been discussing a new portion of the site and came to the decision that we should have a portion of the site that is new every day... So due to the abrupt end to the advent calanders who brought a lot of traffic to the site, TheBrickUpdate presents the: .....MINIFIG OF THE DAY! From now on this portion will be located in the sidebar and will be done by our newest author: LMANPwner.

GENERAL GRIEVOUS

The second edition of the General Grievous figure, in my opinion is much better than the first. This version makes Grievous' arms and legs much, much more accurate to the EP3 and Clone Wars General. The only Con that I can see with this minifig is the overexagerated eyes on the head; but otherwise the head mold is very good. Now compared to the old grievious (2008): The old one simply had a white versin of the droid legs that did not move individually whereas the new ones are independantly mobile. Also the old head was simply terrible detail and the arms were just basically conected to the sides(all four of them) and made the figure look terrible. With some easy decalling, you can recreate his eyes and make this figure very good.

Domain Name:
Our website, now, is known as TheBrickUpdate.Blogspot.com, but hopefully very soon, we'll be buying our very own ".com". This will only occur when our site starts to recieve an average of 300 views a day; So start spreading the word!

Advertising:
At this time we are creating a commercial for our site's advetising purposes. If any of our viewers wish to post this commercial on  their youtube channel or website just contact one of our Admin!

New Pages:
As you may have noticed, we have a few newer pages at the top of the screen but they are mostly empty. This is because (in the info archives case) we are working very hard to fill them! At this moment, all of our staff is researching many varying topics to create a chock-full archive of star wars, halo research like wookiepedia! So look forward to that!

Maybe a store?
Right now, our admin staff is debating the fact of whether having a bricklink sort of program on our website. Now first off, we would not being copying bricktuts. We'd be simply providing a source for the most popular youtubers to the little known ones to be able to show, sell, and buy custom goods at there leisure.
